Comic Cons

OMGosh I cannot believe how long it is since I’ve written a post on here! So much has happened in the last 2 months I’ll have to write 2 posts to catch up 😉

On the 1st March I hired a table at Bolton Comic Con and that was very exciting. It is the busiest event at which I have hired a table and one of my most successful events. I didn’t manage to meet any of the stars such as John Challis or Sylvester McCoy as there’s not really enough time to go wandering or standing in queues when you are running a stall. Lots of people were dressed up as their favourite comic or film character and I found out about something called ‘cosplay’. This is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character or idea – fascinating! I’ve booked to do the next one organised by this particular team at the end of May which will be in Liverpool at the University. There is always one in Wigan which has been running for several years 3 weeks later. I’ve not booked that one yet as my finances are a little tight but I’m as certain as I can be that I will book it in April 🙂
I’ve attached some photos of the event.

As you can see I had quite an eclectic stall with jewellery, clothes and a few cards. I am an Avon representative so fully licensed to sell their products – just in case anyone was thinking about copyrights ;-). If you want any more information about Comic Cons please send me a message. Tomorrow I’ll draft ‘part 2’ of my catch up when I have come back from my photo shoot!!!
